Apply for a Holding

Introduction

After setting up your account successfully you will need to apply for a Holding, which will be the parent investment firm for all of your business ventures. Every Holding will receive initial start-up capital of 10 Million AS$. This funding can be used to start-up new Enterprises - actual airlines themselves - or invested into the AirlineSim stock market. Besides being the parent company and an investment organ, be aware that the holding will limit your transportation rights (see also Freedoms of the Air) depending on the country where the holding is established.

Procedure

Go to Account → Your Holdings (see Picture 1 left) to see the overview of all your currently registered holdings as well as the input boxes for information required to set up a new one. To register a new holding please consider the following steps.

1. The name of your holding. Please add a comment as to why you chose this name for your holding as this may speed up the registration process. Please be aware of our rules regarding naming holdings and companies.
2. The airport or airport code (IATA or ICAO) of the area where your holding is supposed to be located.
   Note: The actual city, airport or region is not in itself of importance for your holding. However, the country where your holding is located is extremely important, as it determines the future transportation rights of companies registered under this holding. 3. After checking all your information click on the Request Holding button. Your request will be sent to the AirlineSim team for verification. Your request will usually be handled within 24 hours. Your holding will be established as soon as it is approved, and receive AS$ 10 Million of starting capital.

Multiple Holdings

Premium Account members may establish additional holdings, with each of them receiving start-up capital of 10 Million AS$. Please note that every additional holding you set up will incur a charge of 2 credits per day.
Important: Players may not use multiple holdings to gain financial or economic benefits that would not otherwise be available to them; holdings should be treated as completely separate organisations, and interaction between them should be avoided. Violation of this rule will result in investigations by the AirlineSim administration team and may result in penalties being applied to the player.
