After your holding is accepted, you have the opportunity to request an Enterprise. Enterprises form the core of your physical operations: The company purchases, leases and operates aircraft and routes, employs staff, and operates terminals.

Procedure

Go to HoldingEnterprise to get an overview of all companies your holding controls or owns shares in on the Stock Market. You may also found a new enterprise on this page. Please consider the following points:

  1. The name of your enterprise.
Please note the [| naming policy for enterprises]; you may, if you think it necessary, leave comments in the comment field regarding your choice of company name, which may help to process your request more quickly, particularly in cases where approval or rejection could be argued either way.
  2. The short code of your enterprise.
The code must contain two or three capital letters or numbers. It cannot be used by another enterprise or another holding. You will receive a warning if the chosen code is already in use.
  3. The home base of your enterprise.
Expressed as an ICAO or IATA airport code. Note that this does not have be the same location as the home base of your holding. Your first office will be automatically opened at this airport.
  4. The investment sum of your holding. This capital will be transferred from your holding to your company. The minimum investment is 3 million AS$. Please enter the value without any decimal points.

Your company request will be handled by the AirlineSim Team as soon as possible. You will receive feedback regarding the decision within 24 hours. In the meantime, you may check up on the stock market, your potential competitors and routes you might be interested in operating.

Further information

  • Be sure you're up to speed with the Freedoms of the Air! If you request an enterprise in a country where you do not have passenger transportation rights, it is highly likely that the AS team will reject the application, which isn't a great way to get started. Cargo airlines, as noted in the article, are exceptions, so if you're planning to run a cargo airline, please provide a comment to that effect - this essentially eliminates the chance of your enterprise being wrongly rejected if this is the case.
  • While the enterprise awaits approval the money will be transferred to a trust account, so you can not invest it elsewhere by mistake. If approval is denied you will receive the money back in full.
  • Choose the amount you want to invest wisely! You will not have the opportunity to transfer any more money from the holding to the company or vice versa, except through a dividend paid to your own holding and outside investors after an IPO.
